...Some remain undaunted. Guys such as Wes Neuman — a 27-year-old Democrat and former defense-contractor employee who is also challenging Mica.

"It's definitely an uphill battle," Neuman said. "But it's a battle worth fighting. I want to make sure democracy is fulfilled."

Amen, Wes. I give Neuman and the others credit for trying. And I'm going to make a point of learning and sharing more about the challengers' campaigns as the season goes on — simply because I like competitive races.
